How It Works
We combine expert-written prompt analysis with a multi-model AI ensemble to give you the most concrete, personalized essay guidance available.
1. Expert analysis of every prompt
For each of the top 60 U.S. universities, we've decoded every essay prompt. Each one includes: what the admissions committee is really asking, a proven strategy, specific do's and don'ts, and a sample opening line. This content is written and reviewed by experienced essay coaches — not generated by AI.
2. You share your story
Fill in a quick profile: your academic interests, extracurriculars, leadership experience, and anything that makes you unique. The more specific you are, the better the advice. Instead of "I like science," tell us "I spent last summer measuring water quality in local streams and built a dashboard to share the data."
3. Three AI models work in parallel
Your profile and your chosen school's prompts are sent simultaneously to three different AI models: GPT-4o (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), and Gemini (Google). Each model reads the expert strategy notes for every prompt and generates advice independently. Running three models in parallel means we catch insights any single model might miss.
4. One synthesized strategy
If two or more models succeed, a fourth pass merges their output into one coherent, non-redundant report. Contradictions are resolved, and the best insights from each model are preserved. If only one model succeeds, its output is used directly. If all three fail (rare), the request is retried.
5. Optional human coach review
If you opt in, a real person — an experienced essay coach — reviews the AI-generated strategy and can add their own notes. Their additions are emailed to you as a follow-up. This step adds a human safety net and often catches nuances the AI might miss.
